Red Kite are committed to ensuring your continued satisfaction from day one so every new minibus is supplied with a 3 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty to minimise down-time. Red Kite’s additional benefits are designed to meet the high standards of aftersales care and support we offer our customers.

Base Warranty
All new vehicles benefit from a Base Warranty that is operated through the manufacturers Authorised Dealers. This warranty covers any part of the vehicle that requires repair or replacement as a result of a manufacturing defect. The part will be repaired or replaced completely free of charge by the Authorised Vehicle Franchised Dealer, regardless of any change of vehicle ownership during the manufacturer’s warranty period.
The warranty begins on the day the vehicle is delivered to the first customer.

Paint Warranty
This warranty covers the painted surface of the vehicle. If the painted surface of the vehicle requires attention due to a manufacturing defect, the necessary repairs will be performed completely free of charge by the vehicle manufacturers Authorised Dealer during the manufacturer’s warranty period.

Corrosion Warranty
If any part of the original vehicle bodywork is perforated by rust corrosion from the inside or underside as a result of faulty manufacture, the panel(s) affected will be repaired or replaced by the manufacturers Authorised Dealer, completely free of charge during the manufacturer’s warranty period. However, surface rusting due to any external factor, such as stone chips, are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Repaired or Replaced Parts Warranty
All genuine branded parts fitted during warranty repairs are covered for the balance of the original warranty period.

Wear and Tear items
Scheduled maintenance items, such as filters, wiper blades, bulbs, remote handset batteries, drive belts, clutches and brake pads have a limited service life and are replaced or adjusted during servicing and maintenance will be charged to the customer. General minor adjustments are covered in the vehicle’s first service.

Repaired or Replaced Parts Warranty
NB. Genuine branded parts fitted during warranty repairs are covered for the balance of the original warranty period.

All used minibuses will have a comprehensive Red Kite warranty and a full 12 months MOT.

More than just a wash and brush up
Preparing our used minibuses for sale starts with the very basics. Every vehicle is thoroughly deep cleaned, the seating removed and any damage repaired prior to a comprehensive steam clean inside and out. Once complete an inspection of all trim panels and windows is carried out with replacement parts fitted where necessary.

The same attention to detail is extended to the exterior of the vehicle with minor marks, scratches and bumps taken care of by our body shop. Once the refurbishment has been completed the vehicle undergoes a comprehensive service before finally having its Class 5 MOT. This means that when you take delivery of your used vehicle, it will be clean, safety checked and ready to go from day one.

Low mileage / full service history
In general, Red Kite will have originally supplied the minibus from new and have a comprehensive documented record of the service history from day one. In general schools and colleges do tend to be lower than average annual mileage users, so low mileage minibuses in excellent condition are in plentiful supply.

Red Kite are an independent limited company established in 1982 by the father and son team of Dan and John Maskell. Dan having been involved in the specialist minibus conversions since leaving the HM Royal Navy in 1965 had a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on. John’s brother, David, joined Red Kite in 1989 to continue in the family tradition. Dan later retired in 2000 with John and David taking the company on to new heights.
