Red Kite manufacture and supply a range of quality, fully Type Approved 9 – 17 minibuses as regulated by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA). The VCA are UK Type Approval Authority for automotive products and also a designated Technical Service for type approval testing in the United Nations (UN) scheme. VCA is also responsible for certification under UK type approval schemes. All new minibuses must have a Certificate of Approval and compliance as administered by the VCA. If in doubt, ask to see your documentation prior to delivery from your supplier, as a minibus without a certificate of approval and compliance could go undetected until presented for its first class 5 MOT test.

Red Kite are an independent limited company established in 1982 by the father and son team of Dan and John Maskell. Dan having been involved in the specialist minibus conversions since leaving the HM Royal Navy in 1965 had a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on. John’s brother, David, joined Red Kite in 1989 to continue in the family tradition. Dan later retired in 2000 with John and David taking the company on to new heights.
